4 Link or Traction Bars
June 11, 2010 | Filed Under Uncategorized | No Comments
There’s hardly any real comparison between a 4 link and traction bars. However, both do offer gains in traction. 4 Link Suspension Kits prevent wheel hop. Traction bars will help in that area as well, though not as much. The big gain is in stability and lower ET for serious racers. 4 Links prevent the rear end from torquing (pinion yoke moving upward). When you launch off the line, you want all available engine torque being applied to moving the car down the track. If the rear end is wrapping up, even a small amount, you’re wasting valuable time. Drag racing is about hundreths of a second, so this is a big issue. Ladder bars are also a good way to get more traction, though they don’t have the adjustability of a 4 link.

Billet Specialties Street Lite
June 10, 2010 | Filed Under Uncategorized | No Comments
Billet Specialties is known for their gorgeous billet aluminum wheels and accessories. I don’t think there’s a better manufacturer out there for these items. One wheel in particular that caught my eye was the Street Lite. It’s a light wheel as the name implies, but it’s also simple, but gorgeous. Similar to the popular 5 star rims, with thinner spokes, the Street Lite is a winner on just about any street car or truck. It’s available in 15, 16 and 17 inch rims.
