Dick Cepek Tires
November 15, 2009 | Filed Under Uncategorized | No Comments
Dick Cepek Tires has been known for some radical off road tires. The Crusher Radial Tire is perhaps the most radical – it’s the skull and cross bones tread that so many people love. It’s a tough tire with 3 ply sidewalls. Dick Cepek Mud Country Tires are made as a dual purpose tire – on road and off-road. The tread pattern is aggressive yet performs well on the street as well. Dick Cepek Radial FCII Tires are another multi-use tire that is suited to dual terrain. FCII’s are tough like all the Dick Cepek tires.

Circle Track Racing Storage
November 13, 2009 | Filed Under Uncategorized | No Comments
The year is coming to an end for circle track racing in the north. If you’re putting away the race car for the winter, make sure you follow a few steps to make sure your tires are ready for next year.
Take all the weight off of your circle track race tires. You want to avoid flat spotting. Tires are best stored on their side. If you leave them on the race car, jack the car up off the ground and safely block the car up.
Store your track tires in a dark room away from heat sources like garage heaters or hot water heaters if you have one in the garage. Keep your tires out of the light.
Keep the tires inflated over the winter to avoid shrinking that can happen over the winter.

Of all the wheels I can think of, one wheel looks good on just about any vehicle you put it on. It doesn’t matter if it’s a hot rod, rat rod or new Mustang. I’m thinking of the American Racing Torque Thrust line of wheels from American Racing.
