Circle Track Racing Storage

November 13, 2009 | Filed Under Uncategorized | No Comments

The year is coming to an end for circle track racing in the north. If you’re putting away the race car for the winter, make sure you follow a few steps to make sure your tires are ready for next year.

Take all the weight off of your circle track race tires. You want to avoid flat spotting. Tires are best stored on their side. If you leave them on the race car, jack the car up off the ground and safely block the car up.

Store your track tires in a dark room away from heat sources like garage heaters or hot water heaters if you have one in the garage. Keep your tires out of the light.

Keep the tires inflated over the winter to avoid shrinking that can happen over the winter.
